Happy Wednesday! Today I am going to introduce to you someone I have known for a VERY long time and just recently got back in touch with – Miss Clare Whitaker. Clare has a fantastic blog, Twirling Clare, and was one of the inspirations that made me finally pull the trigger on a blog of my own. Clare’s blog is centered around various unique photos that inspire her each day and you can find a plethora of interesting pics and outfits on her blog (great for Pinning!).
When asked to describe her style, Clare said “Timeless with a twist of whimsicality”. I hope you enjoy getting to know Clare!
I just bought this BCBG fuchsia maxi skirt a couple of weeks ago. I have yet to wear it, but I am looking forward to pairing it with a white or black tank with a turquoise necklace for the summer, a white blouse and black patent leather wedges for a winter affair, or a blue and white striped button down and espadrilles for a classically chic outfit!
Gold jewelry is my favorite and I love wearing a collection of gold bangles. I usually wear three or four on my left wrist. My pieces come from: my grandma, kate spade, boutiques in Nashville and New York, and the ones on the green dish are all from Barcelona! My friend from school traveled there last summer and brought back a wonderful assortment of sizes and colors.
I have loved espadrilles since I was in middle school (yes, before the TOMS trend…I was an original!) I have four pairs that I wear throughout the summer, this pair from Naturalizer with red lobsters and then gold , royal blue, and blue with white stripes. I would totally recommend this classic summer footwear.
My go-to summer casual outfit is a pair of linen pants. I bought this white pair from Banana Republic at the end of the summer last year. I also have a pair of linen pants in beige and black. They are incredibly cool and comfortable, perfect for the hot & humid summers! Tommy Bahama has a great collection.
I snagged this pair of Kate Spade wedges last summer from TJ Maxx. They were a BARGAIN and I have LOVED wearing them. They are one of my favorite pairs of shoes and I wear them as often as I can because they are incredibly comfortable and fabulously festive.
This is a DVF wrap dress that I treated myself to from Alligator Purse. I work at the Cincinnati women’s apparel boutique during the summer and holiday breaks. I know that this will be in my closet for years to come as the iconic 1974 dress has remained a must-have item for women for decades
