Making Statements in TAMPA!

Happy 4th!!!!  I am so excited to introduce you to a special lady, Miss Molly Phillips!!  Molly and I have known each other since high school and just recently got back in touch.  She works as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep in Tampa, FL so I creepily keep up with her style through FB and Instagram.  She is ALWAYS rocking great jewelry and can frequently be seen in a statement necklace (girl after my own heart).  Please join me in welcoming Molly to Make Statements!

How Molly describes her style…..

I would describe my style as classic, feminine, and preppy.  I love to wear bright colors and fun accessories to dress things up.  My style has changed a little bit since moving to Tampa.  With warmer weather for most of the year, my collection of dresses, shorts, and blouses have started to outnumber my boots and sweaters.

I am in love and may have a slight obsession with statement necklaces.  What started as one chunky torquise necklace has turned into quite the collection.  I found this old clothes hanger at an antique store in Tampa and it holds my necklaces perfectly!

Monogrammed Sunglasses:

Two of my favorite things in one product, tortoise and my monogram.  I found these sunglasses at a local boutique in Tampa called DKM accessories (  These are the perfect sunglasses to wear on a walk on Bayshore Blvd, to the beach, or running errands. They are casual, yet preppy and I love the touch of gold in the monogram.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull:

This bag was my first “big girl” purchase.  I love this bag because it literally is perfect for any occasion.  I can fit my computer, planner, cardigan, etc in it and never feel weighed down.  I was a little worried that the print would not do well down in Florida, but I feel like it goes well with any outfit and any climate.

Pink Dress:

This dress is a recent find from Marshalls (I know, right).  One thing I love about living in Tampa is there are so many more Marshall’s/TJ Maxx down here.  I travel a lot for work and have found the best brands at the Naples Marshalls.  I can’t wait to wear this dress with my J.Crew Leopard skinny belt or a statement necklace.  I also like that this dress can be dressed up or down.

Anyone who knows me can tell you I am rarely seen without my pearl stud earrings in.  I am slowly starting to branch out, but I have always been a fan of the classic look of pearl earrings.  Below is a few of my other pearl favorites.  Besides my classic studs and strand necklace, the layered pearl necklace was a favorite I found at the J.Crew Factory store.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know Molly!
