Happy Wednesday! Today I am introducing you to another local fashionista with a passion for blogging – Mrs Megan Sieber Stacey. Megan launched Polka Dots & Pleats earlier this year and has been posting outfits and great finds ever since! She is a wonderful resource on how to mix prints, be creative with things you already have in your closet, and where to find good deals at Target, TJ Maxx, H&M, etc. I asked Megan to share some of her “statements” with us so please check her out below!
Make Statements 1: Tory Burch
Make Statements 2: Fave fall flats
Orange Tassel from Zara
Make Statements 3:
Pieces include: Estate Bib, renegade and bardot bracelet
Love the hunter green studded wrap-incorporates fall’s hot color and studs:)
Make Statements 4:
Peplum + Studs= 2 trends I love right now.
I bought this top from Zara in march and am excited to experiment with new ways to wear it in the chilly weather. Thinking it might be cute with an oxford underneath.
Make Statements 5:
Skinny jeans here, skinny jeans there, skinny jeans everywhere! I buy a pair every time I go to Target (don’t tell Drew;). Mossimo always has cute colors for only $23. The maroon and blue leopard ones are new to my wardrobe
I bought the metallic ones last season at JcPenney. They are MNG by Mango. Yes, they are wild but we’re trying to make statements, right? Shawn Kelly had to pull the tag off when I was trying them on bc it’s a statement I’m a little chicken to make.
Make Statements 6:
The Reds are rocking but this is a little Who Dey Wahooo! Orange Blazer
Polka Dot Blouse Forever 21 last spring
Make Statements 7:
Prior to my blogging venture, I would have never mixed prints. Now I’m all about it! Here’s a look I might try with leggings and boots this fall.
Print Blouse: Target last fall
Make Statements 8:
Love volunteering for Junior League Events but was a bit skeptical about red top and black bottom as attire. When I found these floral skinny pants
at H&M, I was excited (plus I had a gift card).
Pic taken in front of fountain square. I finished off the look with a tie front blouse (old) from F21 and lots of my new Stella & Dot
pieces including these Gigi studs that are called orange but look red.
Included a recent fall post because I love the weather and heart J.Crew! Ready for Fall? With cool temps this morning, I busted out my boots.
Navy Blazer, Mustard Skirt, & Striped Blouse:J.Crew/ Factory (old)-get the look:
Cognac Boots: B.P. for Nordstrom
Arm Party: J.Crew Pave Bracelet and Tortoise Watch from Nordstrom pictured HERE.
Make Statements 30th:
Celebrating my 30th with birthday baubles! For a day to night look, I wore these shorts skeet shooting & wine tasting during the day.
I quickly curled my hair, grabbed a pair of nude heels, and incorporated a new necklace (thanks, mom)!
Orange Statement Necklace: Swell Caroline for $42 (remember Phelps’s sis sported this during the Olympics)
Make Statements Vegas:
As my husband would say, Vegas makes everyone think they are a $30,000 millionaire! From Gucci to Herve Leger, the designers are limitless. People must be winning somewhere… Well, I don’t gamble so I didn’t have big winnings to spend. I wanted the look of a designer dress for less (Herve Leger dresses run $1,200 to $2,000 .
