Bridal Luncheon Details

As I explained earlier in the week, my older sister, mom, and I hosted my cousin’s bridal luncheon.  The theme was a tea party and the details are below!

THE DECOR…..

We knew we wanted something romanic and girly.  Ash’s fav color is pink and her wedding colors were pink and mint so we went with a similar theme.

We used the china my grandma gave Mimi & I as our wedding gifts since it matched our theme perfectly.  We used my mom’s silver tea service to display along the pink and white striped runner and in each kettle or pot we placed flowers.  We also made the mugs pictured below with each girl’s monogram so that A) they knew where to sit and B) they had something to take home with them.  (I will do a DIY post explaining how I did the cups).

We set up the tent and draped it with the fabric while my dad hung up the chandelier.

THE MENU……

When the girls walked in they were served raspberry & lemonade champagne (to stay with the pink theme).

For appetizers, we also served cucumber and egg salad sandwiches.  I made the beetroot dip below because, again, it followed our pink theme (recipe in the upcoming weeks).

We also had a mini bar with iced tea, sparkling and bottle waters…..

For lunch we served chicken salad in bibb lettuce cups along with fruit parfaits and petite muffins and rolls…..

And for dessert, my sister made these gorgeous tea cup cookies with the wedding logo attached to resemble a tea bag.  We also had macaroons (the bride’s favorite) and little tea cakes.

AND THE FUN……

In true tea party form, we made fascinators for each girl to wear during the luncheon…..

While serving the desserts, we also served another “something sweet”.  We received 12 things that the groom (Richard) loved about Ashley and printed them on pink sparkly paper.  Each girl went around and read one aloud.

Overall, very successful luncheon and the girl’s had a blast!

XO,

Hillary
