I apologize ahead of time for the long post but I took a TON of pics over the weekend (as you can imagine). If any of you have heard of The Greenbrier, you know that is is a structurally classic resort with overwhelmingly stunning decor. (I will do a post next week on the interiors – absolutely amazing).
The whole idea to go there started when Jordan and I were chatting about doing something special to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere in driving distance for a quick trip & I immediately thought of this gem in West Virginia. I have only been once (when I was little) but it left a huge impact and I have wanted to go back ever since. Jordan was on board so we borrowed my parent’s little convertible and we were off!
[Cruising to West Virginia]
[Outfit from night one: this sweater from Banana (not avail online) but find similar here. Scalloped shorts from TJ Maxx but find similar ones here. Clutch on sale here.]
[Enjoying the sun for Day 2.]
[Day 2 outfit: necklace here. Sweater (not available online) similar here.]
[My mom’s favorite flower]
[Right by the sulphur springs]
[Played a little shuffleboard]
[Enjoyed lunch by the pool.]
[We took a carriage ride around the property before we started our day. It allowed us both to familiarize ourselves with where everything was and it was a lovely history lesson of how The Greenbrier came to be!]
[Enjoying my book in the sun]
[And such a nice surprise in our room. Box of chocolates, roses, and a little note congratulating us on our anniversary! Such a nice touch.]
[Night 2 outfit: dress on sale here. Necklace from Anthro here. Jacket here. Shoes here.]
[We played a little croquet before we ate dinner here.]
[And Jordan was in heaven smoking his cigar on the porch]
[A little pistachio ice cream from Draper’s.]
[Day 3 outfit: Top here. Pants (similar) here.]
[And enjoying one last day of sun before hitting the road back!]
[One of the greatest things I look forward to most on the weekend is spending time with this little guy! We missed him while we were gone!]
xo,
Hillary
