My dearest Bea,

When you came into our lives we thought we knew what love was but you’ve opened our eyes to so much more than we ever thought possible.  You make me appreciate family, friends, and life.  You make me love your Dad differently and more deeply.  You’ve proven that positivity can affect any outcome. You’ve taught me to relax and you’ve showed me that everything doesn’t always have to be exactly perfect.

You’ve shown me my own strength that I didn’t even know existed.

You are the strongest person I know, Bea.  And also the happiest.  Your bright smile and deep dimples will serve you well in life and it has made you a lot of friends already.  I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with your sweet personality.

So today is the day.  Today is YOUR day.  You get a second chance at being a healthy baby and your dad and I get to watch you grow at rapid speed.  We are sure you’ll be rolling over and crawling in no time 🙂

Today is the day you are cured of your disease and today is now a Weidner Family Holiday – your liver-versary.  We will be cheersing our non-alcoholic drinks to the doctors, nurses, and all staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for many years to come.  **A double extra cheers for Dr Campbell & the Fixer.**

We have a tough road ahead but please know you have a mom and dad that have, will, and would do anything for you.  God chose us to help you through this journey and we are going to make it the most fun.

You’ve already made it the most exciting.

I love you more than words can say and know you will ROCK it today.

For your mom and dad – be brave in there.

Stay strong.

#BEAstrong.

I love you,

Mom
