What an incredible and relaxing weekend. For my mom’s 60th birthday, she decided to take my sisters and me to The Greenbrier. Not a bad gig for us, right? We were beyond thrilled to take the weekend away and celebrate the birthday girl!
We drove to The Greenbrier on Friday and once we got there we checked into our beautiful room. Every time I go there I am just stopped in my tracks but the bright and bold decorating. You could stand it one spot and just look for 10 minutes at all of the details surrounding you. It is just magical.
After settling in, we went directly to the spa where we each enjoyed something different. I went with the organic facial and I have to say that it was THE BEST facial I have ever had. Highly recommend it.
We hung around the spa for far too long (we were having so much fun that we lost track of time and they polietly ushered us out 🙂 ). We went back to the room, got dressed for the night and enjoyed dinner at The Forum. We were in the mood for pizzas and salads and it hit the spot!
We then hit up the casino for their nightly 10pm champagne toast and we played around the casino and ultimatly ended up on the dance floor. It.was.so.fun!
Saturday was equally as great as it started out with breakfast in the main dining room. The main dining room is so stunning. It feels just so special being there but, again, the decor is really something to just take in. Breakfast was amazing and then we changed and went on a little adventure….shuffle board, horseshoes, a little hike and then enjoyed the infamous banana split from drapers. Then…..a nap (obviously).
We enjoyed dinner that night in the main dining room and again, it did not dissapoint. The Greenbrier is just so old school classic that there were even some gentlemen in tuxedos enjoying dinner in the main dining room. I loved it.
We rounded out the night with the 10pm champagne toast, playing around at the casino, and, again, ending on the dancefloor.
Overall, it was a ton of fun. Lots of laughs and just some major QT with my sisters and mom. The perfect girl’s weekend away 🙂 Check out some photos below….
[The cups we had made for the road trip. My mom owns a little scooter and drives it around in the summer to farmers markets. When Jordan & my brother in law were deciding what to call her once we got married, one of my friends suggested Scooters (since she’s always scooting around!). The name stuck 🙂 ]
[My phone made a little tumble Saturday afternoon so I didn’t capture any more moments. I have to say that the feeling of no phone for over 24 hours was kind of liberating. 🙂 ]
