7 days of gratitude – day 7

Tomorrow is the big day – 7/7 so we wanted to wrap up our 7 days of gratitude with our final THANK YOU to the one person we owe this last year of success to.

Beatrice Kelly Weidner  also known as Bea, Noodle, Queen Bea, Beazy, Beazer, Birdie, and when she’s extra sassy – Trixie.

Bea,

When you entered this world we were floored by your beauty and your attentiveness and felt a love for you that we’ve never experienced before.

Then, these eyes….

image

and this list….

image

changed it all.

“Eyes are yellow” turned into a quick blood draw and a phone call that would change our lives.

Things moved quickly.  You had your Kasai…

image

We were sent home…

image

And then came back to the news that it had failed.

image
image

We went home again, waiting for the news that we would transplant you.

We had fun…

image

But never lost the awful dread that we may lose you.

image

We went back to the hospital a couple of times…

image
image

But kept our hearts full of hope and faith…

image

Our surgery date came…

image
image

And your survived it beautifully…

image

Your eyes cleared up within days…

image

and your true personality started coming back.

image

Your cheeks You grew…

image

and grew…

image
image

and so did our love for you.

image

So we are here today, almost 1 year post transplant and happier than ever.

image

And are enjoying this crazy life with you.  You are SO strong willed, we can tell you have quite a busy brain and we KNOW a bright future ahead.

We love you, Bea.  I said it the night before your surgery and I’ll say it again.  I love you and I would do anything for you.  If you needed more than just my little ‘ol liver I would give it to you.

You are the strongest girl we know and we are just SO proud of you and the person you are going to BEAcome.

Keep fighting.

Keep smiling.

Keep #BEAingStrong

LOVE YOU,

Mom and Dad
