My sister’s birthday was this past week and it was the perfect opportunity to have a nice girl’s day. Thursday we went to the new nail spot in OTR that was recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint. It was so beautifully decorated, very OTR, and the staff was super friendly – OH – and I got a great manicure. Find out more about Spruce HERE. I got The Staple.
We then went to my new favorite brunch/lunch spot called Maplewood. Maplewood is open every day from 7am to 10pm and their food is delish. Like really really really good, and the restaurant is HUGE so it is loud and super kid friendly. And the decor?! Ah. It is so refreshing. Overall, great dining experience.
[I also picked up these darling classic reads for Bea’s new room. How beautiful are these?!]
[I HAD to post this picture because whenever I am having a sad minute I look at it and can’t help but laugh. My friend, who has a daughter about the same age at Bea in the same daycare , and I talk about how the pictures we get of the girls on the days they are at daycare make them look so drunk. And you’ll know exactly what I mean by looking at this picture below :)]
[We also did a little trial run in the new bed this week. I had her nap in there and overall, it went well. I’m going to have her nap in there again on Friday and throughout the weekend before fully transitioning her overnight.,,,]
[This is how she started out. Confused and jumping up and down in her bed. Monitors are so funny – watching them when no one is around is the best.]
[And I had to make a little stop into the candy store 🙂 ]
[Early Friday morning board meeting]
[And we made a stop at one of our fave spots – SKYLINE.]
[Saturday morning we went to a little farm with some friends and it was hilarious. Everything about it. I encourage you to check it out – Blooms & Berries.]
[And at the LIVERversary dinner we gave everyone a canvas and a paint set to put together their own interpretation of the #BEAstrong logo for a gallery wall in Bea’s new room. Below are a few that we’ve received and we have a few other ones on their way! Can’t wait to show off the final mural!]
[And I always feel good if on Sunday I make something that can be nibbled on throughout the week. Last week I made Texas Caviar and this week a little chicken salad. I don’t have exact measurements but here is what I mix together….
*Rotisserie chicken breast
*Quartered red grapes
*Apple cider vinegar
*Salt & Pepper
[My hummus and pretzel stick lover]
[And I had to put our shirts back on one more time before we have another best friend in the hosue…]
