Barely keeping my head above water over here. Luckily, I have kept Bea on her normal schedule so it is just Poppy and I during most of the days. STILL – I forgot how much work a baby is and the nursing part – ah. More on that this week.
SO, coming off what seemed like a VERY long weekend (the time change for parents with young kids is brutal. Every hour one of us was like “HOW is it ONLY 9:30am….HOW is it ONLY 11:15am….etc etc”.
All in all – kids are great. Poppy is testing us with the lack of sleep but overall, is good. I don’t know what it’s like to have a “normal” baby but even these “normal” babies are tough.
Bea has 4 doc appointments this week to figure out this mystery diaper rash she has had since June. Ugh. It is so frustrating and of course has me so worried but I try to remind myself that she is alive…she is breathing…she is (otherwise) very healthy. Labs tomorrow night and I’ll give recap from the Pediatrician, Dermatologist, Allergist, and Dentist this week 🙂
In the meantime, here are some pics from this week/weekend….
[Our own Miss Piggy.]
[We went trick or treating on my parents street and ran into this little piggy. Apparently his name is Bacon and he lives on their street. What are the odds.]
[And Bea with one of her BOOtiful besties…]
[I can’t get over how much Miss Poppy looks like Bea when she was a baby. Twins.]
[You guys – a miracle happened. Jordan and I got out. I still can hardly believe it but thanks to our INCREDIBLE nanny, we left BOTH kids and went to Hyde Park Country Club’s first annual Farm to Table dinner. It was amazing. Can you tell I was excited?]

[The Farm to Table dinner was held under a tent on the golf course. They built an outdoor kitchen for the chef to make dinner and the tent was decorated beautifully. Flowers were stunning and they put blanket scarves on the backs of the chairs so you could get cozy. It was an intimate group, 25 couples, and was just such a perfect night out with friends.]
[And although it takes us about an hour to get out of the house, we had to fill the morning with SOMETHING – esp with the time change. We hit up our favorite spot – Maplewood with the girls. Love being able to say “the girls”. 🙂 ]
[And we enjoyed the beautiful weather 🙂 ]
