makeup must haves

Hi!

When I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago I was getting ready with my mom, sisters, aunt, and cousins.  We were all talking about our makeup and who uses what and things people can’t live without!  I’m ALWAYS looking to switch up my routine or try other people’s stuff so here’s a round up of some must haves….

make up

First, let me introduce you to the make up contributors (in no particular order :)).  All of these girls are friends of mine and I love their style for different reasons:  some are preppy, some are practical, some are trendy and some have kids and are just happy to get something clean on in the mornings (that is me mostly these days).

ALL have great sense of style and do an incredible job taking care of their skin.  These are the girls I turn to when I need to switch up my makeup routine so here are their “makeup must haves”!

Middle: Mimi, Lindsey, Teddy

This first post of the “makeup must haves” series is for overall face products.  I asked the ladies to give me their fave – it could be foundation, it cold be under eye, it could be ANYTHING!

Here are their (and my!) suggestions below 🙂

Makeup Must Haves: Overall Face Product

Cindy’s Pick:  NARS multiple stick:  South Beach.  Find it HERE.

***This stick is a great for adding a little color to your cheeks without the total “pinky” look!***

Hillary’s Pick:  The best overall coverage product that I use is Skinceuticals Physical Fusion.  Find it HERE.

***This product has been in my rotation for YEARS and is the BEST all over coverage during the week.  It comes on really thin where you never even feel like you’re wearing anything but it seems to hide my discoloration well and lasts all day.  What more can you ask for?***

Amanda’s Pick:  Dior skinflash (under eye concealer).  Find it HERE.

***It has seaweed in it which apparently helps with dark circles??? Idk I’ve been using it for years and can’t go without it!!!***

Carolyn’s Pick:   Olay Complete Lotion.  Find it HERE.

***It gives my skin a nice glow without being greasy or heavy.  It has SPF 15 to protect my skin from daily exposure to the sun.***

Lindsey’s Pick: .MAC Studio Tech Face Foundation/Powder Compact.  Find it HERE.

***Perfect texture and goes on with a brush but leaves the finish of a powder.***

Teddy’s Pick:   I have FULLY covered my face to Giorgio Armani products – I switched my everyday face product to Armani LUMINESSENCE CC cream and I really love it!  Find it HERE.

***There are SO many benefits embedded PLUS it color corrects my redness which I need big time!***

Ashley’s Pick:   Bare Minerals Stroke of  Light Eye Brightener (level 2).  Find HERE.

***LOVE this highlighter / brightener and it’s a great price ($23). I used to use the YSL clicker but it’s too pricey ($42) to be an everyday makeup staple. I originally saw this on Gal Meets Glam blog and could not recommend it more!***

Meggie’s Pick:    Dandelion Dew.  Find it HERE.

***One of the best dew-y glow-y cream blushes I’ve found. Stays on all day. Currently very obsessed :)***

Paige’s Pick:  Guerlain Mereorites Baby Glow.  Find it HERE.

***I got this as a foundation sample from Sephora and I was sold. It is moisturizing and sheer, which gives off a really natural look while still providing coverage. It also gives that “glow” so that your makeup doesn’t look cakey or piled on. It is a bit pricey, but I think it is worth it as the base of your makeup!***

Nancy’s Pick:  Favorite face NARS issist cheek studio palette.  Find it HERE.

***I love it because I use it as blush/ contouring but also for eyeshadow!!***
