It is no surprise that the last few years have been a little crazy for me. A lot has happened and I started off 2018 feeling like I was sick of living in a haze. I felt like I’ve just been in survival mode – focusing on what I need to do to advance to the next day.
I started out 2018 feeling very ready to take control of my life and one of the ways I thought about getting out of my haze was to get on a good fitness regime.
If I am being honest, it has been a LONG, long time since I have worked out consistently.
I’m talking at least 3 years.
I’ve been wanting to get a little slimmer and after recognizing that I need to get out of this haze, I started looking into some options.
One of my very best friends since the 2nd grade has been a Barre3 instructor since she lived in Denver. She moved back a couple of year’s ago and I’m embarrassed to say that I had never been to one of her classes. I thought my new fitness focus was the perfect opportunity to give it a go.
And I am addicted.
Leading up to our Exuma trip I tried really hard to go to class as often as I could. I ended up going to 16 classes out of 24 consecutive days in January. I absolutely love it.
The Barre3 class is a great workout, the instructors encourage you to go at your own pace, and it’s the first time I haven’t wondered when class would be over. The Barre3 Mariemont studio is so clean, their daycare is SO nice, and they have really reasonable packages for unlimited classes that INCLUDE unlimited childcare.
A mom’s dream 🙂
I haven’t quite been keeping up with my pre-Exuma pace but I am still trying to go 3-4 times a week and HIGHLY encourage you to check it out!

I really hope I see you in the studio! You can typically find me there on Thursdays & Fridays at 10am, 8;45am on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays!
[They have great Barre3 swag and awesome workout gear at their studio too!]
