home decor

Happy Wednesday 🙂 I totally feel like I’m “on a roll” with 2 blog posts this week – although I realize not truly impressive since I used to post 5 days a week.  However,  I’m patting myself on the back for making the blog a priority this week!

For those that follow along on Instagram (@hillarykweidner) you know that we moved a few months ago.  We bought an old horse barn built in the 1800’s and redid a LOT of the inside.  With all that work came fresh, new decor and I want to share with you some of my absolute FAVORITE pieces we bought from Serena & Lily.

***S&L is having their friends & family so everything is 20% off!  Definitely a perfect time to pull the trigger on some items you have been eyeing***

Counter Stools.  Find them HERE.

[Okay, so you may have seen these a lot and in several different finishes but I have to tell you how obsessed I am with these counter stools.  Not only are they the perfect height for our kitchen island, but they are SO comfortable and probably THE MOST kid-friendly furniture we have in our house.  Yes, Poppy loves yogurt and makes a giant mess while eating it but as soon as she’s finished, I pop her on the ground and take my scrub brush to the seat.  Looks brand new.]

Cubby Bins.  Find them HERE.

[Before you get too excited about these bins, they are only avail in gray right now.  The navy were discontinued and I legit called every single store across the country to see if they had any and I literally got the last 8 (I wanted nine).  HOWEVER, the gray is beautiful and they are the perfect size for a cubby or anywhere else you need a bin. ]

White Mirror.  Find it HERE.

[I don’t have a specific picture of this white mirror in my home, but this was one of the first things I bought thinking I would put it in my guest bathroom.  I decided to put in a recessed medicine cabinet instead but couldn’t find it in me to return this incredible mirror from Serena & Lily.  I currently have it in the area where I get dressed in the morning and love the simplistic but sophisticated design.  Would also be great in a nursery or guest bedroom]

Bed Side Table.  Find them HERE.

[So the bed side tables I have in the picture below are from One Kings Lane but S&L look very similar.  I am obsessed with their version and the color is perfect.  We pulled up all of the carpet in the house and painted every square inch of the interior and exterior.  I wish I had good pictures of our bedroom before but I am just so happy with how it turned out.  Bright, cheery, and FRESH.  Although not completely finished, I have especially loved my bedside tables in a beautiful navy.]

Step Stool.  Find it HERE.

[One of the things I was very conscious of when decorating certain areas of the house was that it was kid friendly and kid accessible.  With that, I was adamant about incorporating a lot of step stools throughout the house (I think we have 6) to reach countertops, sinks, and beds.  I wanted something that looked good with the rest of the decor – and I found just that with this kid-friendly stool.]

Hurricane Vases.  Find HERE.

[I absolutely adore most things scalloped so when I saw these, I thought they would be the perfect accent pieces for our kitchen table.  The gold/brass matches our kitchen hardware and adds a little fun to our room!]
