the last 8 weeks have been a total joy. they started out as a big blur of sleeping, changing diapers, recovering from the c-section, and a total trial by fire of raising our sweet little babe. Now, at the 8 week mark, I am feeling much more in control of all things baby and getting more in control of my life.
SOOOO….below are just a FEW million pics of our sweet baby bea in the last 8 weeks. I have so much to share: re – things to register for, lifesavers that we had in the first few weeks, items to pack for the hospital, places to get great baby gifts, things that we LOVED receiving once Bea was born, etc etc and I will be writing those types of posts in the next few weeks.
I will try my hardest not to make this blog all things baby but as I have done the last 3 years – this blog will mimic my life and what I currently have going on sooooo, it might be baby stuff for the next few posts!
SO…that is my love and life right now! More to come within the next week!
The big day came about 3 weeks earlier than we thought and if you can tell – I am a planner. A major planner. It was a Monday, my last day of work for awhile was Tuesday, Christmas was Thursday, and we were going to meet baby W on Sunday. We had about a week. Yikes.
In that week we got the nursery almost complete, ran to Buy Buy Baby one too many times, and had a lot of “can you believe we are about to be parents?” moments. To be honest – that week was somewhat a blur but we did made time for one more special date night at my favorite restaurant – Sotto.
The amazing people at Sotto dropped this off to our table once we were finished. 🙂 Such a memorable night.
Sunday morning we headed to the hospital, did some waiting, and after literally what felt like a couple of minutes we met the love of our lives – Beatrice “Bea” Kelly Weidner.
On our way to the hospital…
Our first family photo…
Our first selfie… 🙂
Be still my heart.
Such an incredible day and one that I will replay over and over in my head.
My next post will be a couple of lists that friends shared with me on what to pack for the hospital. I found these VERY helpful when preparing 🙂
So, like I said in my previous post, we had maternity pics done just a few days before baby bea’s arrival. So thankful we fit them in! Our fave photogs at Kortnee Kate did the pics and they turned out amazing. They are seriously so talented.
To be honest, I was never really planning on doing maternity pictures until they brought up the idea. Knowing that they were going to be the ones shooting them instantly made me look at maternity pictures differently. They didnt have to be cheesy but could be really fun and memorable. Thats exactly how the shoot went and if you are on the fence about doing them – I HIGHLY recommend you giving Kortnee Kate a call.
Check out the blog post they did about the shoot here. They are also offering mini sessions in their adorable new studio for only $300! Check out more info at the bottom and call to book ASAP. You won’t regret it!
